
Tirupati, January 9: Andhra Pradesh opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit to Tirupati created a stir as his convoy reportedly faced traffic issues, forcing him to walk on the road briefly. The incident occurred while Jagan was traveling from Renigunta Airport to Tirupati.
According to reports, local police allegedly failed to clear traffic for Jagan’s convoy. Video footage shows him walking on the road, surrounded by security personnel and party workers. Following this, Jagan continued his journey in a vehicle arranged by a local party leader.
YSR Congress leaders criticized the incident, accusing the state government of negligence and deliberate mismanagement. “This reflects a lack of respect for the leader of the opposition. Such incidents are unacceptable,” stated a senior YSRCP leader.
Jagan is scheduled to visit Padmavathi Medical College in Tirupati to meet victims of a recent tragic incident. The alleged mishandling of his visit has raised questions about the preparedness of local authorities and sparked political debate.An official response from the state government or the local police is yet to be issued.
