“I urge you to stop exploiting my family issues for your selfish gains”- Ys Jagan
Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has sharply criticized the TDP government during visits to families affected by violence and tragic incidents. In Guntur, he met the family of Sahana, who tragically died after treatment at the government hospital. He also visited Gurla village, where 13 people died due to water contamination linked to a dengue outbreak.

During these visits, Jagan addressed the media, pointing out the poor conditions in Gurla and comparing it to the governance during his administration. He highlighted how, under YSRCP’s rule, every village had functional secretariats with visible staff from various departments, along with digital libraries and smiling school children, showcasing better governance.
Jagan also criticized the TDP’s handling of serious crimes, accusing the ruling party of protecting perpetrators due to political connections. He referenced a case involving Naveen, accusing the TDP of shielding him because of ties to a local MP. “The Home Minister has not responded to the rape of girls in the state because the accused is one of
their own,” Jagan remarked.
In response to his criticisms, the TDP shifted the narrative by raising personal family issues involving Jagan’s sister, Sharmila, and their mother, accusing him of betrayal. Dismissing these claims, Jagan said, “These are common issues in every family, ‘ghar ghar ki kahani’. This is pure diversionary politics.Focus on governance and fulfill your promises instead of resorting to personal attacks, he stated. “You have failed to deliver on your commitments and have also neglected the safety of the people.
