On the one hand, they are marching in the name of Amaravati farmers who do not want three capitals. On the other hand, the students of the area are campaigning to make Visakhapatnam the capital. They are demanding to make Visakhapatnam the administrative capital as said by the government. The Uttarandhra Vidyarthi Joint Action Committee is begging them not to give in to the concerns of some landlords and do them injustice.
The people of Uttar Andhra welcome the three capitals proposed by the YCP government. All political parties want to support the establishment of administrative capital in Vizag. In this order, the students of Uttarandhra protested against those who did not want the capital in Visakha. They vowed to form a JAC and protest until Visakhapatnam is made the administrative capital.
In fact, except the city of Visakhapatnam, no region in Uttar Andhra has seen any development. TDP chief Chandrababu also said on one occasion that he is also happy to describe Visakhapatnam as a financial capital, which has ample facilities not only for transportation but also in various ways. CM Jagan also decided Visakha as the administrative capital and wished for regional development. In this order, the YCP government approached the Supreme Court and once again raised the issue of three capital cities without complying with the order of the High Court.
Due to this, while the agitations are raging in Amaravati, the students of Visakha have rallied to support the decision taken by the YCP government. A massive rally was held at the Ambedkar statue in Visakhapatnam under the leadership of the student JAC. The wish of Visakha capital was heard loudly. He said that if the capital is in Uttar Andhra, the majority of BC SCs and STs will benefit.
They alleged that the TDP started a march from Amaravati to Arasavelli because they did not want the capital to come to their region. The student JAC alleged that this is a move that will harm the interests of Uttarandhra. The public representatives of TDP who won the Uttar Andhra votes demanded to support this decision or resign from their posts.
He warned that if all the political parties in Uttar Andhra do not change in favor of making Visakhapatnam the capital, they will protest in front of their respective party offices. He made it clear that the brakes will be put on the Amaravati farmers’ march at Visakha border Payaka Rao Peta.
