Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has launched a scathing attack on current Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu via Twitter, accusing him of failing to deliver on key electoral promises and adopting deceptive policies.
Jagan questioned the status of the ‘Talliki Vandanam’ scheme, which promised ₹15,000 annually to every mother and child. He criticized the suspension of the ‘Amma Vodi’ program, implemented during his tenure to support mothers, and condemned the government’s recent decision not to provide the promised funds this year.
Addressing farmers’ issues, Jagan highlighted that despite promises under the ‘Rythu Bharosa’ scheme to provide ₹20,000 annually, no funds have been disbursed even after the completion of Kharif and Rabi seasons. In contrast, he noted that during his administration, each farmer received ₹13,500 per year, totaling ₹34,378 crore distributed to the farming community.
Jagan also criticized the government for unfulfilled promises of unemployment benefits, financial assistance to women, and justice for volunteers, labeling them as deceptive. He accused the administration of burdening citizens with increased charges and scandals, reflecting a pattern of fraudulent governance.
He asserted that the YSR Congress Party stands with the people, advocating for the fulfillment of these promises, and warned that public anger is mounting against the government’s deceptive tactics. These criticisms come amid growing concerns over the current administration’s commitment to its electoral promises, with opposition leaders intensifying their scrutiny as public dissatisfaction rises
