25th December 2020 will be remembered by all people as the day when the decision was taken to provide welfare and development administration to the people.
This is the day when Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy took the decision to provide housing to the homeless poor. With the thought made that day
They created history in Andhra Pradesh by distributing house plots for free. Since then till today, 30.68 lakh beneficiaries have been given degrees across the state. In the first phase, more than 15 lakh houses have been constructed. Also each house Rs. 1.80 lakh is being built without compromising on quality.
Land acquisition is no small matter
Acquiring 66,518 acres of land in the state and converting it into residential areas is not a simple matter. Geo-tagging the house sites, flattening them and taking up the construction of houses is a Mahayagna. The market value of land already allotted to the poor is around Rs. 23,000 crores.
Idea of Navaratna in Padayatra
The Yajna started with the Praja Sankalpa Yatra undertaken by YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He went to the people on foot covering 125 assembly constituencies of 175 assembly constituencies in 13 joint districts of the state. During the 341 days long 3648 km padayatra, he met nearly 2 crore people and got to know their sufferings. At the same time, he saw the corrupt policies of the TDP government towards the people. After knowing the problems of the people, Jagan gave assurance to the people.
He said that he will bring a regime that focuses entirely on welfare, agriculture and education, and will take measures for the progress of the state by bringing health, electricity, irrigation and industries. In the election, the welfare schemes of Nava Ratna were announced.
If he says it, he will do it.
After winning the election, for the welfare of the people, about Rs. Created history as the government that spent 1.30 lakh crores. In terms of welfare, Covid has not backed down even in tough times. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is providing free houses to about 25 percent of the people by starting the housing construction scheme with the slogan “Cheppadante – Kehidadante”. They are proving that what the government is giving is not just own house but changing their standard of living. This scheme is giving a big boost to women empowerment by providing not only houses but also houses to the women of the house. On the other hand, all kinds of infrastructure are being provided in Jagananna colonies and they are being made into villages instead of houses. Identifying more than 30 lakh genuine beneficiaries is a huge task. Eligibility criteria of each beneficiary is examined twice or thrice to give final approval. The village volunteer and senior officers themselves visited and confirmed the eligibility. Thus, the Mahayagna which started in December 2020 is continuing continuously, realizing the dream of owning a home for the poor families and putting smiles on their faces.
