Tension erupted in Monda Market, Kummariguda, Secunderabad, after miscreants vandalized the idol of Amma in the Mutyalamma temple.
On Sunday, October 13, locals dis covered the damage, with CCTV footage showing a thug kicking and destroying the statue. The video has since gone viral, sparking outrage among Hindus.
Hindu groups and BJP leaders, including Union Minister Kishan Reddy and former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, visited the temple, demanding strict action against those responsible. Kishan Reddy accused the Telangana government of failing to prevent such attacks on Hindu temples and called for increased security to avoid communal strife. A protest was held outside the temple, during which several BJP leaders were detained by police. Authorities have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
