Bhopal, February 11, 2025 – A devastating road accident occurred in Madhya Pradesh early Tuesday morning, resulting in the deaths of seven people and leaving several others with severe injuries. The tragic incident took place near Sehora, in Jabalpur district, when a mini-bus collided with a truck on the highway around 9:00 AM.
According to the authorities, the victims were on their way back from the Maha Kumbh Mela, a major religious gathering, when the accident occurred. Upon receiving the distress call, local police and rescue teams swiftly arrived at the scene, transporting the injured individuals to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Initially, it was reported that the victims were from Andhra Pradesh. However, further investigation revealed that the deceased and injured were from the Nacharam area of Hyderabad. The group of devotees had traveled in three mini-buses to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela, and while returning, one of the mini-buses met with the fatal collision. At the time of the crash, there were 12 people on board the bus, as confirmed by local police.
The authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, and steps are being taken to support the families of the victims.
