PVS Sarma (@pvssarma) a retired IAS officer and political figure, has caused a stir with his recent comments on Twitter, criticizing actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan for his remarks on political matters. Sarma, known for his candid opinions, expressed concern over the consequences of unqualified or semi-educated politicians holding positions of power.
In his tweet, Sarma stated, “If uneducated or semi-intelligent politicians are given positions of power, they will incite violence by making immature comments without understanding the consequences.” He further targeted Kalyan, suggesting that the Jana Sena Party leader was making “immature and irresponsible statements” on issues he doesn’t fully understand, calling it a “laughing stock” moment before the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Sarma emphasized that politics is not just about delivering aggressive speeches but requires mature handling of complex issues. He advised Pawan Kalyan to “keep silent for some time” and take the time to understand the intricacies of administration. Sarma also expressed hope that N. Chandrababu Naidu (referred to as @ncbn on Twitter) would guide Kalyan and provide him with the necessary training to navigate political matters more effectively.
The comments have sparked a debate on the maturity and preparedness of leaders who transition from the entertainment industry to politics, particularly as Kalyan continues to engage in public and political discourse. As of now, Kalyan has not responded to Sarma’s remarks.
