On December 18, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) organized a powerful ‘Chalo Raj Bhavan’ protest in Hyderabad, calling for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) inquiry into the alleged Modi-Adani scandal. The protest, part of a nationwide call by the Congress party, strongly condemned the alleged “unholy relationship” between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and billionaire Gautam Adani, and voiced concerns over the violence in Manipur.
The protest was led by prominent party leaders, including Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC President B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, and Telangana Congress in-charge Deepadas Munsi. Starting from the Indira Gandhi statue on Necklace Road, the rally ended at Raj Bhavan, where protestors gathered to demand accountability.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, sitting on the road with other leaders, reiterated calls for a JPC probe, citing US probe agencies’ reports linking Adani to bribery. With large-scale participation from party workers, the rally marked Congress’s firm stance on seeking transparency and justice.
