Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, a five-time MLA and former Minister, has officially left the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) to join the Jana Sena Party (JSP) as of September 18, 2024. Reddy explained his decision, stating that his repeated attempts to address issues within YSRCP were ignored. Despite his early and steadfast support for Jagan Mohan Reddy, including stepping away from a ministerial post to join the Odarpu Yatra, he was not given a significant role in YSRCP.
His move to JSP reflects his appreciation for the party’s approach under Pawan Kalyan, whom he commended for maintaining “matured politics” despite facing public criticism. Recently, Kalyan invited Balineni Srinivasa for discussions, which has fueled speculation about what role the five-time MLA might take up in JSP.
While JSP supporters are excited about his entry, some TDP leaders have expressed reservations, pointing to His past criticisms. Nevertheless, the public interest is growing, with many wondering if Reddy will be given a nominated post or another prominent position within JSP.
