Jahnvi Kapoor reportedly declined the offer from the team of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. Initially expressing interest in a special song for the film, her decision changed after the release of Devara, her debut film. Jahnvi was disappointed with her role in Devara, feeling it was limited to song performances.
“I was told I would be featured throughout Devara, but it turned out I was mostly for songs. If I do Pushpa 2 just for a special song, I’ll be labeled as the ‘Heroine of Songs.’ So, I cannot take part in the special song,” Jahnvi explained to the team.
Jahnvi Kapoor will next appear in Ram Charan’s upcoming project directed by Buchi Babu.
In Pushpa 2, the team is looking for a well-known face for the special song, following the success of Samantha’s performance in the first part, which became a blockbuster. Tripti Dimri was also considered for the song but is not known for her dancing skills, leading the team to search for another replacement.
Currently, Pushpa 2 is being filmed in Kakinada, with scenes featuring Fahadh Faasil being shot. The team aims to complete the entire talkie portion by the end of this month, with plans to finish the remaining songs by November 10th.
