
Markapuram: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Markapuram in Prakasam district, where he participated in International Women’s Day celebrations. During the event, he inspected stalls set up by self-help groups and interacted with women entrepreneurs about their products.
Key Highlights of Chandrababu’s Visit:
✅ Encouraged women entrepreneurs: CM Chandrababu examined handmade products crafted by women and emphasized the importance of quality and branding for better market reach.
✅ Promoted eco-friendly products: He wore a hat made from banana fiber waste and suggested focusing on income generation through banana, coconut, and other agricultural waste utilization.
✅ Launched ‘Shakti App’: A mobile application developed by the police department for women’s safety.
✅ Inaugurated the Handloom Chariot: Aimed at promoting the weaving industry in Andhra Pradesh.
✅ Appreciated women Rapido drivers: Recognized the contributions of female drivers and encouraged more women to take up self-employment.
✅ E-Vyapari Portal Delivery: Officially launched the e-commerce initiative to help local businesses expand their reach.
CM Chandrababu reiterated his government’s commitment to women empowerment and encouraged women to leverage technology and entrepreneurship for economic growth.
