
On January 21, 2025, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu addressed a special session on green industrialization at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. Speaking on behalf of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Naidu outlined his vision for transforming Andhra Pradesh into a global hub for green energy and green hydrogen.
Reflecting on his partnership with CII since 1995, he highlighted Hyderabad’s transformation into a global hub for IT and innovation as an example of his development-focused governance. Naidu emphasized India’s potential for economic leadership, citing predictions of India becoming a top-two global economy by 2047.
He also discussed leveraging technologies like AI and real-time data to address societal challenges and shared plans to establish the Global Leadership Centre (GLC) in Amaravati, which aims to enhance global competitiveness. A letter of intent was exchanged between GLC and Switzerland’s IMD Business School to further leadership development.
Focusing on sustainability, Naidu advocated for natural farming and inclusive governance through his proposed “P4 model” (public-private-people partnership). He urged corporate leaders to tackle poverty and inequality, describing people as India’s greatest asset.
The Chief Minister expressed optimism about India’s role in driving global growth and fostering sustainable development through green industrialization and innovative leadership.
