
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Friday, ahead of the Union Budget 2025-26. During the 45-minute meeting, Naidu thanked Sitharaman for the financial package to the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and urged expedited work on the Polavaram Irrigation Project, Amaravati construction, and increased budget allocations to address Andhra Pradesh’s financial crisis.
In a post on ‘X,’ Naidu expressed gratitude for the Vizag Steel Plant package and emphasized key development needs for the state.
Naidu, returning from Davos, also made a courtesy visit to former President Ram Nath Kovind before receiving a warm welcome from NDA leaders at Vijayawada airport.
