▪ CM’s statement against YSRCP workers receiving welfare benefits is outrageous
▪ Promoting discrimination through governance is unacceptable
▪ Has Chandrababu forgotten his oath as Chief Minister? – Former Minister Shailajanath
Anantapur:
Former minister and senior YSRCP leader Shailajanath strongly condemned Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his controversial remarks suggesting that YSRCP workers should be denied welfare benefits. Speaking to the media in Anantapur alongside YSRCP district president Ananta Venkatarami Reddy, Shailajanath questioned whether Chandrababu was the Chief Minister for the entire state or just for TDP supporters.
He accused the CM of violating the Constitution by openly discriminating against a section of the population based on their political affiliation. “Did Chandrababu forget the oath he took to ensure equal governance for all?” he asked.
Shailajanath Slams CM for Promoting Discrimination
📌 Denying welfare benefits to YSRCP workers is unconstitutional
📌 Singling out one section of the population is blatant discrimination
📌 Chandrababu has forgotten his constitutional responsibilities
📌 Trying to cover up administrative failures by blaming the previous government
Shailajanath criticized the CM for violating the fundamental principles of governance, stating, “A Chief Minister cannot deny welfare benefits to citizens just because they support an opposition party.” He called Chandrababu’s statement a dangerous precedent that goes against democratic values and constitutional principles.
Nine Months of Governance – Growing Public Resentment
✅ Neglecting welfare schemes and indulging in political revenge
✅ Violating constitutional principles and promoting biased governance
✅ Discriminating between beneficiaries based on political affiliation
✅ Blaming the previous government instead of fulfilling promises
“Chandrababu claims to have 40 years of experience, yet he is now trying to implement governance through a ‘Red Book Constitution’ rather than following Ambedkar’s Constitution. This is an insult to democracy,” Shailajanath remarked. He urged the CM to focus on governance rather than engaging in political vendettas.
YS Jagan’s Governance Was Inclusive – Chandrababu’s Governance Is Divisive
🔹 Under YS Jagan’s administration, welfare schemes were implemented without bias based on caste, religion, or region.
🔹 In contrast, Chandrababu’s governance is prioritizing one section while sidelining another.
🔹 Denying welfare benefits based on political affiliation is undemocratic and unconstitutional.
🔹 Instead of blaming the previous government, the current administration should focus on governance.
Chandrababu Must Answer the People!
🔸 How can a CM make unconstitutional statements against welfare schemes?
🔸 Why should government benefits be reserved only for TDP workers?
🔸 Why is he blaming the previous government instead of fulfilling his election promises?
🔸 Why is he prioritizing a ‘Red Book Constitution’ over Ambedkar’s Constitution?
“If Chandrababu wants to learn about inclusive governance, he should take inspiration from YS Jagan’s tenure,” Shailajanath asserted. He reminded the CM that ensuring welfare for all is his responsibility, and discriminating against opposition supporters is an undemocratic act.
“Chandrababu must recognize that he is the Chief Minister of the entire state, not just of TDP. He must uphold the Constitution and ensure equal governance for all citizens,” Shailajanath warned.
