In a cheeky celebration of their third consecutive Assembly win in Haryana, the BJP’s Haryana unit sent Congress MP Rahul Gandhi a kilogram of jalebis delivered via Swiggy to his Delhi office. The sugary treat wasn’t exactly a gesture of goodwill, but rather a playful jab at Gandhi’s recent comments on Haryana’s famous Gohana jalebis.
During his campaign, Gandhi had mentioned how Gohana’s jalebis are mass-produced, exported, and generate jobs. The BJP took this as an opportunity to ‘deliver’ the message, literally! They proudly posted a screenshot on X, confirming the order to 24, Akbar Road (Congress HQ), complete with the tag: “On behalf of all BJP workers in Haryana.”
